Fort Pierce

Almost Home!  On Nov. 26 we arrived in Fort Pierce at long last!  We definitely like this marina.  The dock master gave us this slip that is right next to some Mangrove Trees.  It was a tight squeeze but Ed made it look like there was nothing to it!  I mastered getting a line around a tall pole!

We had a visitor straight away after we docked.  If our boat was lower we could have touched it!

A manatee was so close to Dolce Vita!  It was so cool!

We got ourselves set up and before too long we got another interesting visitor.
On the other side of the Mangroves is the marina's pool.  It was a bit windy on this day.  The umbrella was picked up by the wind, flew over the Mangroves and landed on our boat!  No harm, just a big surprise.

We met up with some friends from our first trip that we met at Oleta River State Park in Miami.  This year they were renting a condo near by and had their car.  They drove us around to a grocery store, a place for lunch and a Captain's "heaven" - the Marine Connection Liquidators.  No purchases were made this day but we got a chance to return later on and Ed found a couple of things then.

We went to the marina's restaurant our first night here.  They were decked out for Christmas.

I had my favorite - oysters                            Ed had scallops

Another night we ate at 12ABuoy.

I had shrimp and clams

Ed had fish

Fancy Butter

A different kind of key lime pie.

As you can see we like to eat!

Next step - HOME!

Fair Winds to All!
