Last, but not Least of the Everglades City, Part 3

This is the last segment for the Everglades.  This is the most important one to me because it is here that we met a super group of people that were a lot of fun and a very caring group!  Some were other boaters, sail and trawler, and some were there in their motor coaches in the RV section of the park.  Some of them had their pets with them.  Sorry - I forgot the names of some the animals!

These two belong to Jerry and Larisa.

This is Lorrie's dog, Penny:

These are Carol's pets:

We went to the Camillia restaurant with the group.

All of us girls went shopping one day and stopped at a place that had 2 alligators in a pen.  I am sure the alligators would've been happier out of that cage!

This was an amusing way we kept rain out of our hatch.  We have to have ventilation when we cook we have to keep the hatch open.  Hence our solution!  Have to have that coffee!

On January 27th it was Ed's birthday.  I got our group together and gave Ed a surprise birthday party.  I had told him since it was our last night with the group that we were ordering pizza and meeting together in the club house.  He fell for it and, boy, was he surprised!  Jerry used to be a preacher so he got us together around the pizza for a blessing then said Happy Birthday, Ed!  The look on his face was priceless!

                       Dan, Lorrie, and Carol
                           Robin and Jean-Guy
                 Mark and the birthday boy
People we had just met, and I don't remember their names!  This was such a friendly place!  Free pizza is always good!
Jerry and Larissa who were responsible for getting the pizza to the party and getting Ed a birthday key lime pie!
Mark and Trish who helped set up and clean up
Ed talking to either Nick or Sarah for his birthday

I love this photo of us, especially with these two friends photo bombing the picture!

We ended up staying a couple of days longer due to weather.  It was a great time!

Fair Winds to All,

Joan
